Victoria is a terrific city for restaurants; Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Greek, Continental,
North American, East Indian, British, and Vegetarian. We will mention here some of our favorites, within walking distance of the ferry terminals in Victoria's central area. The order
in which they appear is not necessarily our view of their ranking.

We test as many restaurants as possible. Here are some of the really good ones.

Milestone's -- wonderful location above the Inner Harbour, with a terrific menu.

At Government and Humboldt, across from the Fairmont Empress Hotel

Blackfish Cafe -- floating dock float plane terminal off Wharf Street -- BEST Fish & CHIPS

Don Mee's -- Chinese food (Dim Sum lunches), In Canada's oldest Chinatown on Fisgard Street
Spinnaker's Brewpub & Guesthouse -- Very popular ... across the bridge 6 blocks or take a harbour ferry.
Cafe Mexico -- Authentic Cal-Mex restaurant at Market Square. We give it top ratings.

Bengal Room -- Wonderful British India luncheon buffet at the Fairmont Empress, please reserve.

Rebar Cafe -- Vegetarian restaurant. Fabulous beverages, menu and desserts. In Bastion Square.

Baan Thai -- Best Thai lunch and dinner in 1100 block of Blanshard.

Japanese Village -- Magnificent menu and service on Broughton near Douglas, downstairs.
Blue Crab Restaurant -- Want Seafood? At the Coast Harbourside Hotel on the outer harbour.
